How I Became a Hero

A blind teenager gets a strange gift from their best friend and wakes up in a world of elves, dwarves, giants, and things that don't have names yet. The tone stays somewhere between fantasy quest and harem comedy, never taking the "chosen one" business too seriously.

The story follows that ordinary kid's slow climb toward becoming an actual hero, picking up allies and enemies along the way, with the truth behind the friend's gift and the nature of this world held back as a running mystery. It's a journey story first, with the romantic and sexual side growing out of who the protagonist meets and helps.

Play consists of moving through chapters of story and dialogue, meeting the game's cast of human, elf, and monster women, and choosing how far those relationships go. Some of them warm up to the protagonist as the harem forms; how many you end up with depends on the choices made along the way rather than a fixed script.
