Homecoming

Six years away, and Sam comes home to his stepmother's house, his step-sisters, and Vaeryssa, the elf everyone else in Concord City finds untouchable and who only ever softens for him. That part is stable. What is not stable is what Sam and Ryss discover they both want once other people get involved.

The setup is a homecoming that stops being simple fast. A house full of women who watched Sam grow up now deal with the man who came back, while Sam and Ryss chase an appetite for sharing and swinging that keeps escalating because they keep feeding it. Concord City doesn't make it easier: elves, orcs, and other things drink in its bars, and the rumors about them are half true at best.

Right now it plays as a kinetic novel, so you read Sam's return and the first steps of him and Ryss testing what they're curious about, no choices yet. The overview is upfront that this won't stay linear: future chapters add decisions that gate optional scenes and shape how far things go, though the sharing itself isn't one of the options. Sam doesn't get to opt out of that. It's not a side route, it's the premise.
