Gunslinger Girl Survivor

Earth is ruined, and what's left of humanity sends clone soldiers out to scout the wreckage instead of risking anyone real. Void creatures wait in the dark corners of the map, and the job description is simple: find them, kill them, don't die doing it.

The clone angle sets up the fights rather than a personal story. You take a female protagonist through combat encounters against monsters and tentacled things, building up an RPG loop of gear and confrontations rather than dialogue trees. Losing those fights has consequences beyond a game-over screen, and the tone leans hard into rough, coercive scenarios rather than romance. Visuals are 2D and animated, censored by default, with the usual mix of group and monster encounters layered on top of the survival premise.
