God Tier Academy

Blackmailed by the government into infiltrating a school that ranks students D through S by combat and magical talent, the protagonist has no rank at all: unstable magic, no formal standing, and no real way to survive a fight if one starts. Attending is basically a slow-motion suicide attempt, but refusing gets his family hurt, so he shows up anyway.

The setup is straightforward undercover work in a world that would rather he didn't exist: keep the cover intact, gather whatever the mission requires, and avoid the kind of attention that gets powerless people killed at a school built entirely around power. Around that mission, the game spends most of its time on the girls he meets, the friendships and entanglements that form despite his situation, and the growing pile of relationships he probably shouldn't be building given how precarious his position is.

Progress comes through story choices and routes tied to the different girls, with new content and scenes added as the academy's politics and his cover story get more complicated. A gallery lets you revisit scenes once you've found them, which is about as close as this gets to a systems layer on top of the visual novel structure.
