Gene Therapy

Matt and Sarah's marriage is falling apart, and he's the one still trying to hold it together. Their new therapist is off in a way neither of them quite names at first, but Matt goes along with it anyway, because it's the only option left if the relationship is going to survive.

The story follows that therapy from the inside: two unhappy people, a counselor who doesn't play it straight, and a marriage that keeps sliding somewhere Matt didn't sign up for. Whether he can actually save it is the whole question the game keeps circling back to.

It's text based, so the player reads through Matt's side of things and makes choices about how far he lets the sessions go, with the story updating in chunks rather than branching wildly. The game itself admits to being grindy and a bit boring, with renders that won't turn heads, so go in with that expectation already set.
