Factory

Work, suffer, repeat. That's the whole shift for an ordinary man grinding through his days at the factory, and the game never pretends otherwise. It's a short, deliberately grim piece, more melancholy than fantasy.

The story follows that man through the routine of his job and whatever cracks open in it: corruption, pressure, the kind of leverage people use on each other when nobody's watching. The choices you're given are ambiguous on purpose, and they funnel toward one of four endings, all of them grey rather than triumphant.

You read, you choose, and you watch where those choices land him. There's no way to route around the dystopian mood here, it's the point, not a backdrop. Even the writer admits in the text that he's not sure whether to keep writing the thing or just go clock in at his own factory and stop fighting it.
