A cursed mining crew is dead, and Ilejah is the one left standing in Incarna, a land that doesn't seem interested in letting him stay that way. The people who find him aren't simple either—some want to help, some want to fight, and a few smile while planning something worse.

Ilejah has to survive first and sort out who's trustworthy second. That means dangerous encounters and harder feelings, with alliances forming out of chance meetings that don't always end well. The story is still being told in chapters, with the current arc picking up right where his path through Incarna gets more complicated.

Along the way there's romance and betrayal tangled together, so the people closest to Ilejah aren't automatically the safest ones to trust.
