Doon: The Lusts of Mahd’Ib

A nineteen-year-old noble's fall from grace and grab for power across the galaxy, told as a straight-faced parody of the big sci-fi epics that inspired it. The tone stays tongue-in-cheek even when the plot gets serious about betrayal and revenge.

The story follows him from ducal heir on a lush ocean world to hunted fugitive crossing a lethal desert, and eventually to a bid for ultimate power among rival factions, ancient prophecies, and things that would rather eat him than bow to him.

You play through his journey from a first-person male perspective, working through the political scheming and desert survival while the game slots in its explicit detours along the way, from lesbian encounters to mind control setups to run-ins with the various women who complicate his rise. It doesn't ask you to know anything about Dune going in, and it isn't really trying to be Dune either.
