Cursed Legacy

Centuries after the Citadel of Darkness fell, the border city of Asteran was built on its ruins, and its people have spent generations pretending the old scars are gone. You play a recruit in the city Guard, still finding your footing, while something buried under the stone and pavement starts stirring again.

The peace Asteran takes for granted is thinner than it looks. As old echoes work their way back into the present, the story keeps circling one question: what part does a nobody recruit end up playing when the past comes calling.

Between assignments you build your own guardsman through character creation, move around the city and its edges in a sandbox structure, and settle disputes and worse in turn-based fights. Off duty, Asteran's residents are more approachable than the job would suggest, and the game leans into that with dating and encounters rather than pure combat grinding. This is very much a first chapter for Asteran, told with 2D art rather than animated scenes.
