About
A gene-editing program meant to upgrade humanity instead unleashed a "collapse factor" that rotted cells and circuitry alike, and now the cities are wreckage and the world barely works. You play the last cyborg immune to the stuff, taking orders from an AI called Stellar Core that survived the ruin of its own base by hiding in the radio static.
The setup is grim, but the actual job is a side-scrolling RPG grind through mutated monsters and worse: combat, loot, and level-ups against a backdrop of ruined tech and twisted biology. Losing fights or getting cornered by the game's tentacled and monstrous threats plays out in the expected direction, with the sci-fi framing never quite letting you forget why the world looks the way it does. Stellar Core feeds you data on the collapse as you go, but the loop stays simple: fight, get overwhelmed, continue.
