About
A gothic horror visual novel that sticks close to Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, told through the alternating diary and letter entries of Jonathan Harker and Count Dracula himself. The tone leans on the source material rather than away from it, with classical music setting the mood instead of jump scares.
Harker travels east for business and finds himself a guest, then a prisoner, in a castle belonging to a count who is clearly not what he claims to be. The story runs on the same correspondence-and-journal structure as the book, letting both hunter and monster narrate their side of events.
Play consists of reading through these entries and choosing whose perspective to follow at points where the two threads split. It's a visual novel in the strictest sense, text and atmosphere first, with the mature content folded into the same period setting rather than bolted on as a separate mode.
