Between Duty and Love

A young man's ordinary grind of school and workouts keeps getting interrupted by the women around him, and the source doesn't pretend otherwise about where that's headed. It plays its tension straight rather than winking at the camera.

His mother's "international business" trips keep her conveniently absent and vaguely mysterious, which is less a career than a plot device waiting to pay off. Around that, the game stacks up smaller entanglements with other women in his orbit, family and otherwise, each nudging him past whatever boundaries he started with.

You move through daily routines and chance encounters, the "accidental" touches and voyeuristic near-misses, making the calls on how far he lets things go. It's a sandbox built around watching restraint erode rather than around puzzles or grinding.
